Welcome

I am running for re-election as the Mayor of the City of Maricopa.
I believe the path I charted to lead the city through the worst recession in decades and my commitment to the community makes me the right candidate.
Maricopa is a growing vibrant city. My experience as a project manager is well matched to the job of mayor. I know how to plan for the future. The job of mayor in a growing city requires dedication. The top priority in my work week is that of mayor. I believe it takes that type of dedication to move from vision into reality.
My slogan is “People Progress and Prosperity”. This is a value instilled into me by my parents. People who work hard to drive progress will result in prosperity enjoyed by all. This slogan helps me keep focused on the impact I and each one of us can make for the benefit of the whole community. Maricopa is poised for greatness. I have proven my ability to lead us into the type of growth that will bring prosperity for decades to come. I was flattered when a fellow Council-member said of me, “the difference between a great leader and a good one is someone that has vision. Thank you for having the foresight and the vision.”
I’ve set a high benchmark for communication and transparency. I’ve held three Town-halls, had a blog, and my Channel 20 “Mayor’s Message” program has run for over one year. I have a true open-door policy and most important of all, I’m accessible to people. I opened the door for meetings with strategic partners including; Ak-Chin Indian Community, Gila River Indian Community, Chamber of Commence, and the School Board.
In addition to my duties as mayor, I have a project management consulting business. I graduated Purdue University with Bachelor of Science degree and am certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP). I bring to the mayor’s office critical management skills that make me an asset for moving Maricopa up to the next level of growth and opportunity.
With four council seats to be determined, I encourage you to register and vote. Elect the best possible representatives that will put into action the blueprints we have carefully put into place. The direction Maricopa will take for many years to come is up to you. If you need to register to vote, go to www.servicearizona.com
